To celebrate the International E-waste Day, Electrão made an installation with 216 used electrical equipment in Quinta dos Ingleses, in front of Carcavelos Beach. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of the importance of separating these used equipment and sending them for recycling.

In addition to the installation, created to alert to the importance of forwarding used electrical equipment for recycling, on this day, Electrão released the results of the WEEE Follow project, revealing that three out of four used equipment placed by citizens on public roads for later collection by the municipal services are diverted and never reach the treatment units where they would be properly decontaminated and recycled.
