The National Monitoring Campaign, inspired by the WEEE Follow project, is a project within the WEEE Action Plan and which aims to track used electrical equipment in order to find tools to combat the parallel market, one of the biggest scourges in electrical waste management area. The project has a national scope and counts on the collaboration of all the electrical equipment waste management entities, in partnership with the Agência Portuguesa do Ambiente, Direcção-Geral das Actividades Económicas and competent public entities in matters of inspection and supervision in the context of the electrical equipment waste management.
